I just saw a lad having a full blown grand mal seizure in the middle of the queue for the checkout in Boots. Seriously. He just went completely rigid, as if all his bones and muscles had turned to stone, and then started to tilt quite alarmingly. The chap in front and woman behind both grabbed him and lowered him to the ground, and the moment he was horizontal he started fitting. God, the poor guy. It looked awful - especially because it was so very public, with cashiers running to help/get help, and customers standing around gawking. I kept walking rather than join the gawkers, so didn't see the final outcome or how bad it got. I hope he's okay.

Being married to an epileptic ... I have had experience ... thankfully he has been fit free for 10 years now.

What you described is what happened to Dixie too.

All you can do is to make the area as safe as possible for them ... i.e. so they don't fall and hurt themselves. As people were already helping you did right in walking way, it is embarrassing.

I hovered for a second, until it was clear that there were plenty of people to help, and then left because it seemed rude to just stand and stare. Bad enough to have the seizure, without a massive audience as well.
