1. My website, Publish and be Damned, is now offline due to the hosting not being renewed and me not bothering to look too hard for a new host. Maybe one day I'll get it back up and running again, and it's a shame about all the broken links that are now scattered through my journal - especially the images hosted there - but such is life. One day I'll have time and energy for a big clean-up session, perhaps!
2. It is beginning to feel almost spring-like, which is odd and slightly worrying because it hasn't been properly winter here yet - it's been horrendously wet, but not cold. Now it's mild and occasionally sunny and I'm itching to start knocking my new garden into shape...but it's too early yet. Soon, though. I've already been out and started buying seeds and new plants and whatnot ready.
3. Speaking of how horrendously wet it's been, we have pretty good flood defences here in Cardiff, key among them being the barrage across the Bay. I went down there the other weekend, on a bright and blustery day, low tide, and watched the water pouring out of the sluice gates - four out of five in operation - with rainbows forming in the spray. It was very pretty and very impressive.

4. Also, the views across the Bay were very pretty in general that day.

5. This is one of Poppy's patented methods of stopping me getting any work done.

6. This is how Poppy reacts to the presence in my kitchen of raw carrot
Yeah, I don't know why, either.
7. I bought this little guy to cheer myself up. It's a tea infuser - look how adorable!

8. Poppy and Alfie still love to cwtch
