1. Hey, so it's proper cold today, isn't it - you'd almost think it was winter! I could have done without the freezing rain while I walked home from work, though. I got soaked to the skin, which isn't going to do much good for the cold I've come down with.
2. Baker Boys is back for a second series at last! Hooray! I almost missed it, though - didn't realise it was back until I spotted episode two in the listing for last night. Luckily for me, though, iPlayer came to the rescue by having it on series catch up, so all is well.
3. Also on my telly at the moment: the new series of Garrow's Law. I was rather devastated by last week's episode, though. They killed Southouse! No! Seriously, Alun Armstrong must never die on-screen again, I can't take it.
4. I was feeling very organised earlier this week, since I managed to get all my international Christmas cards in the post, as well as all my local cards into the Scout Post. I have to be careful, though, because this is where I always get complacent, every year - I feel so organised that I completely forget to write my cards for the rest of the UK until it is almost too late to catch the Christmas post!
5. We have a new member of staff joining my team on Monday, on a fixed term contract until the end of February as maternity cover. And not before time! I won't know myself, only having to be one and a half people instead of three after being so chronically short-staffed for so long!
6. I'm currently binging on Classic Doctor Who. The trouble with this, as opposed to other show marathons, is that there's so damn much of it, the marathon could go on for quite some time! It's great fun, though, exploring the history of the show and the history of the Doctor, discovering some stories for the first time and rediscovering others that I remember watching as a child (or reading; I think I know more stories from the novelisations than from seeing the actual episodes!)
7. My website is currently down and has been for some time. I doubt anyone's actually noticed, since I've not updated it for a very long time. My lovely host
rosely is planning to take down Liquid Deception permanently, so the also very lovely
nikkimisplaced has offered to host me instead, if only as an archive. Trouble is, I decided to overhaul the site and give it a good tidy, rather than just transfer it as is, and what with one thing and another, it's taking longer than I'd hoped. I'm getting there, though, so fingers crossed it'll be back online sometime soon.

Date: 2011-12-02 08:30 pm (UTC)I will try to get the site back up and running soon. It'll be a good distraction from Christmas card writing tomorrow, perhaps, if nothing else crops up (as it usually does at the weekend).

Date: 2011-12-03 05:45 am (UTC)As for hackers and website troubles, I'm sorry you are so afflicted. Don't know what this cyber-world is coming to, I don't, and reasonably happy to leave it that way. You younger ones will be able to sort it out, I'm sure . . . and I'll just sit up on my tidy cloud and cheer for you!!

Date: 2011-12-03 04:02 pm (UTC)Want to hear a happy story about last night. While trudging home in the cold and the rain, I lost an earring and was rather upset about it. But then when I got home and changed out of my damp clothes, I discovered that the earring wasn't lost after all - it was caught in my bra! Talk about luck.
