*phone rings*
Me: Information Services, Joanna speaking.
Caller: Let me give you my reference number.
Me: ...I’m sorry, can I ask why you’re calling?
Caller: I’ve just missed my Harvey’s delivery.
Me: I’m afraid you’ve called the wrong number. This is Cardiff University.
Caller: But this is the number on the letter.
Me: Is it possible you’ve misdialled?
Caller: But this is the number on the letter.
Me: You’ve called an office at Cardiff University. I’m afraid I really can’t help you with your Harvey’s delivery.
Caller: But this is the number on the letter.
Me: I think you’ve misdialled. Please try again.
Caller: But...

Lol I guess you might want to talk to Harvey's delivery...;)

My cell gets SO many wrong numbers all the time, and the same people too, over and over, even when I explain it's not the right number...

Love these type of people! Always got a lot of them when I was working. Since there was another attorney in a nearby city with the same last name, we would even get walk ins. People would be irate and hateful while the staff would be frantic and confused until we realized they weren't our clients. And then the long process of explaining that they were in the wrong place would begin. They never had any paperwork with them (whether in person or calling) but insisted that we were the ones who contacted them.
