LJ seems to be better now, for a while at least. Let's hope it stays that way and there are no more DoS attacks to fend off for the foreseable future.

Work this week is very dull and annoying. I'm on my own for the week in this little attic that usually houses six people. I'd almost forgotten how much I don't like working in solitude - the quiet distracts and demotivates me. But Alec is off at a conference, Linda is on leave, Sarah is on maternity leave, Amanda is spending the week down on the reception desk providing cover and Steve has just moved offices to join his new team downstairs. So that leaves me, myself, on my lonesome.

Not that I can really complain about the quiet today, since I've had builders fixing the roof just above my head all day, and they are making a dreadful racket. Which also isn't conducive to getting any work done! Still, at least I won't have to worry about the roof leaking all over me and my computer any more.

Better still, I have a whole week off work next week to look forward to. [livejournal.com profile] galathea_snb and [livejournal.com profile] nikkimisplaced are coming to stay and it is going to be awesome.

Here are some pretty flower pictures to celebrate the end of the day and nearly the end of the week, and to distract me from the banging that is still going on right above my head.

Welsh poppy

Trolius

Bellis

'Ladybird' poppy

Feverfew

Nigella (love in the mist)

day lily

rose

dwarf mallow

Those flowers are all so beautiful! Wow. The ladybird poppy is icredible: I love the contrasts. And the cluster of feverfew is so striking.

I hope you have a wonderful week off! :)

Always thought Poppies were red. The yellow ones are lovely however the Ladybird variety ... that is gorgeous.

Enjoy your week off with your friends.

Oh, lots of prettyful flowers. Love them, espec the Bellis. Nice pics, thanks for sharing!

Fingers crossed there will be no more DDoS attacks, at least for a while. Enough of this, Russia.

Sorry you're not having the best time at work at the moment, and having builders make such a racket. Enjoy your week off next week with your friends! :D
