1. As lovely as it was to see Big Sis, Bro-in-law and Shanei for a few days, it is even lovelier to have the house to myself again. By tomorrow I might even have my brain back in working order, if I am very lucky.

2. BBC2's Eric and Ernie biopic last night was just fantastic, as are most things that Victoria Wood puts her name to, of course. The casting was amazing and the attention to detail fabulous. What a wonderful double act they were. I've been singing Give me Sunshine ever since!

3. Happy New Year, everyone.

6. Plus Macavity the Mystery Cat making himself comfortable over Christmas. He has since wandered off again to enjoy the thaw, being a long-term stray who gets itchy feet if he stays in one place for too long. He'd been effectively living with us for the better part of a month or more but we now haven't seen him in almost a week. I daresay he'll be back sooner or later!


7. And finally, I am very happy that all this has finally gone!

Rosie was laying on the bed this morning, rolling over and looking ever so cute and I gave a back paw a tickle ... mood changed immediately and she became thumper ... I backed off as I knew if I kept it up she would attack.

It was nearly 60F here yesterday! All the snow is gone and the pond has thawed. Definitely a welcome change. :) If only it'd last!

I'm going to vote for the Chelsea and Nei pics being the cute ones - they look so happy to be so tentative on the ice, they look gorgeous!

And yes for Eric and Ernie - wasn't it ace?! We had to watch the documentary afterwards too, and that was fascinating as well... and then I had to watch the Christmas Special tonight... I wonder if they're out on dvd these days... *g*

Chel is the one wearing the I ♥ London sweatshirt, with her hair loose. The rink is on the grassed area in front of City Hall and the Museum, yes - they put it up every year. Takes the lawn ages to recover afterward!

Poppy and Alfie have loved one another dearly almost since the day I brought him home, which is lovely - I consider myself enormously lucky that they get along so well!
