Cardiff City didn't manage to win the FA Cup this afternoon, losing 0-1 to Portsmouth in the end, but huge congratulations to them anyway for getting so far. And I can't bring myself to begrudge Harry Redknapp the win.

In other news, my Mum has been awarded disability living allowance for Small, at the highest level, too. Wahey! It has only taken me about three years to persuade her to apply, but she's the kind who never asks for anything, just trudges on alone and does the best she can no matter how hard. It isn't a huge amount of money, but it will make a big difference, so we're really pleased.

While Poppy was playing out the back this afternoon, I opened the kitchen window, stuck my head out, and called her. She completely spazzed out trying to work out how I'd got up there and whether she could get to me. It was hilarious.

Thanks, Judy. Yes, it's been backdated - only by about a month, but that's still a really useful lump sum, given that she has lost five coats and two full PE kits already this year! And those are just the big things that have been lost or somehow destroyed...
