Got another Dark Angel recap together, now my cold induced brain-death has finally passed. To read, just click the banner.

Have also posted the recap for Mixed Doubles on my Professionals page. It was posted here to LJ and at Prosfanfic some weeks ago, but the finalised version is now up on my website.
And, I've also re-recapped the first three episodes of Supernatural season one recently, since those were never recapped in full to begin with. Can't remember if I posted links to the first two, but now there's a third complete, I might as well add the lot in here:
Pilot
Wendigo
Dead in the Water
And I think that's enough for one day *G*

Date: 2007-09-29 07:37 am (UTC)I missed Alec badly in this one. I kept wanting to talk about him - compare the way Max treats the X5 in this one to the way she treats Alec, for eg. The one seen as a victim and treated accordingly, the other drawing her anger for getting himself into trouble in the first place, when hey, White's captured them all in turn - but told myself I couldn't. 2.06 is the next DA recap on my list, though, because I refuse to do 2.05. I'll write a brief precis of it if I can bring myself to watch the ep - it's the one episode I really truly hate.
Oh, but new SN this week! I'm going crazy this last week now it's so close but not here yet. Can't wait!

Date: 2007-09-29 07:59 am (UTC)The last couple of episodes of season two, I always feel, are the closest we ever got to seeing the real Alec. He's playing a part the entire season, undercover, learning how to live among humans. But then at the end of the season, with all the transgenics coming together, the whole world against them, that's when Alec really comes into his own. He can stop hiding and just be who he is with the other transgenics.
You got your SN S1 companion already? I'm jealous. My last email from amazon said it was delayed a couple of weeks in the UK. *sigh*

Date: 2007-10-09 01:01 pm (UTC)I'm going through your Dark Angel recaps, which are perfectly timed, as I finally could get it, and I'm re-watching the show first time since it was aired. Woohoo!!!
Later, The Pros! Girl! I love that show SO much! I'm letting Supernatural to the end, because I'm not deprived, LOL!

Date: 2007-10-09 01:47 pm (UTC)I got my Dark Angel DVDs last summer and watched it through a couple of times before giving in to the urge to start recapping, to it's the newest project on my timetable, and yet somehow one of the most burning. I'm not going to have much time to recap the eps regularly now that currently airing shows are back, but I really want to, you know. So much love for that show! I'm only recapping season two, though, as things stand.
The Pros recaps were the first proper recaps that I did, and they grew gradually out of episode discussion over at Prosfanfic. So there's a huge divide between the content of the earliest ones and the latest ones.
Supernatural...now that's the show where the recapping instinct really, really took hold. So much love for those boys, and therefore so much to say about them! But my style has changed and developed a lot since season one. I've just redone the first few episodes, though, over hiatus. I'm back onto my regular kick now, mind, of trying madly to get each episode recapped and up before the next one airs, in and around Real Life commitments...
But I'm very wordy, so. Um. Yeah *G* I just have to not let myself think about the other shows that I adore and would dearly love to take apart in this fashion!

Date: 2007-10-09 02:13 pm (UTC)I'm kinda wordy, too. Except, as English is not my language, I tend to bit a little more... quiet =D
And yes, I know... fandom is so time consuming, but it has its own rewards. I've know wonderful, wonderful people, I've spent wonderful hours reading, watching, chatting.
And being multiple-fandom make you feel always like cheating, as you stole time from one of them to read/watch/write about another one. Shees! I really, really need 36 hours days! =D
And yet, I wouldn't change it for anything *bfg*

Date: 2007-10-09 02:41 pm (UTC)Yes!! I still feel guilty that I never did more than a couple of Firefly recaps. Will have to return to those one day - redo the lot from scratch, more like - if I ever get through the ones currently on the menu...
Fandom is time consuming, yes. But like you said, it has its own rewards. I've been able to talk to and meet such wonderful people, and the spirit of sharing that pervades fandom is incredible.
