Was a little surprised this morning to wake up to an email from Big Sis telling me that she has published a book of poetry.

She says, and I quote: "I've published a book of poetry. I'm not sure if it is any good at all, and it was probably a stupid thing to do, but hey - I was bored, and sore, and under the influence of pain relieving drugs!

Anyway, it can be downloaded fairly cheaply. The paperback version is available through lulu.com, and the hardback version should also be available at standard retailers! (Apparently such as Amazon, though I have yet to believe it).

Hardback version is expensive, but they set the price not me. Apparently its because it's going out to retail. The paperback is way cheaper with price set by lulu.com

I get about £2 commission!

Anyway, take a look and see what you think."


So...I've ordered it and will see what I think!

If Deb can do it, you can do it. Just keep plugging away. When the book arrives I'll find out more, but from the preview she seems to favour a similar kind of free prose to your style.

Congrats for your sister! That's quite an achievement, in the middle of everything that she has been through. Must be a great feeling to get something of your own creation published!

So you are both creative and literally talented then? :) Those things seem to run in the family, also my brother has always loved writing and is quite good at it. And as you know, I enjoy writing and books, too. Even though the results are not that impressive. :D

I'm very impressed. Deb has always been very creative, and much more outgoing than me, willing to try new things. I didn't know about the poetry thing until the email yesterday, though!
