Very happy to see that coverage of Serie A is returning to terrestrial television this season, with Channel 5. Not just a live game each Sunday, but also a magazine show every Saturday, just like the good old days of Football Italia on Channel 4. Means I'll actually get to see a few live games this season!

First game is Inter-Udinese this Sunday. And, of course, I'm on holiday. Never mind - a whole season lies ahead.

Have decided that I love Channel 5.

I was about to say that I wasn't really into the foruming thing back in those days, but then I realised that's not actually true. Football forums were where I really got started on the 'net. Just not the football italia one. Come to think about it, I'm still a member over at the xtratime forum, many years later. Even if I do only post there once in a blue moon...

Hernán Crespo! Haven't posted about him for ages though, because of Serie A being on pay-per-view for the last couple of seasons. I'm looking forward to being able to catch a few games on Channel 5 now though!

The English Premier Leage has started. Serie A doesn't start till this Sunday coming. Crespo is still playing for Inter - he had a really good tournament with Argentina at the Copa America over the summer - but I don't mention the footie much because it hasn't been available for me to watch for over a season now. A pox on pay-per-view TV! And thank heavens for Channel 5...

Yeah, I bring her home a week on Saturday, and don't go back to work till the following Wednesday. So that gives me a few days to get her a bit settled in first, register with the vet and whatnot.
