The rain it rains upon the just,
And also on the unjust fella.
But it raineth more upon the just,
For the unjust steals the just's umbrella!

I am so bored of rain. I'm tired of getting wet all the time, and having to keep dry clothes in the office to change into as soon as I arrive. It's going to be such a long winter, after a 'summer' like this. I shouldn't complain, though - at least there's no flooding around here. And I confidently believe that it will be sunny in September, as soon as the schools go back. Sod's law, innit?

Went round to Molly's last night. She's quite concerned because her ex-daughter-in-law is under water, and she hasn't been able to get hold of her daughter, who is also in the flood zone, to find out if she is okay. Hopefully the water will go down soon, but there is going to be one hell of a clear-up operation. It takes such a long time to get back to normal after a flood - we were flooded when I was very little, and for years after, as I was growing up, we couldn't have wallpaper on our walls below a certain level, because of damp left by that flood water. My thoughts and best wishes are with everyone affected.

Watched the first two eps of Heroes on BBC2 last night, and so far the show gets a thumbs up. I like the concept, felt engaged with the characters, and found the plot intriguing enough to keep me watching. I hope it continues as strongly!

Europe is sweltering, we are in winter but not much rain and Gloucestershire (is this right) is under water ... mixed up world at the moment.

I would take the rain if I could, but unfortunately life does not work this way.

Good idea have another set of clothes at work.

Take care.

Would be nice if we could trade our weather once in a while, wouldn't it?

Members of CI5 make a good team, and good teams SHARE, so it would be fantastic if we could share the warmth and the wet ... definitely ;)

And we're hitting 46 in some cities in Turkey!! Oh for a little balance in the world's weather, eh??

As for Heroes, I absolutely love it. The finale of S1 is on Sunday, and I haven't been this agog, week to week, since... since Buffy, I think.

I'm sick of the rain too. The kids are fed up because they can't spend all day playing in the garden or the park. When the rain does stop and they play out, they come back covered in mud. It's just so miserable, isn't it?

I dread to think what will happen come mid-winter. I think the whole country will come down with seasonal affective disorder. We'll all be walking round like depressed zombies!

We are going to check out heroes next week - we missed it. Is it being repeated at all before then?

It really is going to be a long winter if we don't get some sunshine in soon! Awful to have it like this for school holidays - the kids get cabin fever, cooped up indoors, and wet weather activities always cost the earth!

I think Heroes is repeated at some point during the week, but I forget when - would have to check the TV guide or BBC website. It's worth checking out, though, definitely.

Firstly 'Heroes' is on again tonight on BBC2 at 11.20pm.

Since you introduced my son to Torrent he has already downloaded and seen the whole series. He was very imprssed and can't wait for the second series.

This weather is really terrible. We are in for a nice day on Friday and Saturday and then apparently it heavy rain again. Just had a wet afternoon but now the sun is shining but it is so windy. remends you more of March than July. I think come October we will be having a heatwave until Christmas. ;)

Thanks for the headsup on the repeat. I've been waiting for Heroes to air on TV - I had so many shows on the go in realtime as it was! Looks like it'll keep me going all through hiatus.

It really is wintry, isn't it. Horrible.

Today it was sunny and raining at the same time. I don't think my jeans will ever be dry again! But at least I'm not flooded...
