Have booked a ticket to go see James Marsters playing a gig at The Point here in Cardiff next month. It's funny because I'm not really what you'd call a fan of JM, or of Spike, and yet the whole 'playing a gig right here on my doorstep' is still too good an opportunity to turn down! Also, I know a few people who are going, and it'll be good to all go as a group. Plus, the tickets were a really good price. So - should be a lot of fun!

Oh wow - I went to see what turned out to be his last Ghost of the Machine gig in London, and I really enjoyed it. They were all really into what they were doing, and full of energy and enthusiasm - hopefully he'll be just as good on his own! I'd love to hear how it turns out!

I have no even close-to-suitable icon to use - ack! Can shadows be spooky and reminiscent of Spike?

ROFL I didn't have any icons even close to Spike-like to use either, hence my going with Mal's pretty floral bonnet as something suitably unrelated to use instead!

Hopefully this gig should be really good. He's going to be in town filming a guest role on Torchwood so I'll have to actually keep my eyes open while wandering around town for a bit, too, rather than wandering around in a world of my own as is my usual habit...

Read your first sentence again, and just stop for a moment and feel it. To me it sounds cooler than cool. Like something they'd do on one of those fancy tv-shows about how hard it is to be a teenager in California, or something in that area.

Yes, it is very cool. Especially the price. I do feel a bit of a fraud, though, because I was never actually interested in either Spike or in JM. I'm more excited about the fact that ferdy and Aissy are coming down for it so we'll be able to hang out and go as a bunch!

But seeing JM live and in person will be very cool. Even cooler if I see him wandering around the city while he's filming!
