return of the muse? maybe?

Whew! After being completely crippled by writer's block for months and months now, I've finally managed to make myself sit down and finish off the last few scenes of the fic I've been working on since last summer, if not earlier. At long last - 47 pages and done. Amazing. I'm not sure I even care any more if it's good, bad or indifferent. I just need to get a second opinion, do a bit of editing, and I can post it and get it off my harddrive at long last!

It still isn't the longest time I've ever taken to complete a fic, though. That honour goes to a Pros ficlet that was 15 months from concept to publication!

AWw, thank you for the thought. :) Sue has it, thanks. She's my trusty regular second opinion. On the rare occasion that I manage to write anything. I'm not sure it's really your fandom - this is part of my ongoing series that most people on my flist can be forgiven for knowing nothing about, it's been so long since I managed to write anything! It's one-part buffyverse and several-parts original fic. And I was starting to worry that my muse had abandoned me for good, it's been so long, and I hate leaving a project unfinished.

I have my regular beta's too - it's good when you've got someone who knows your work and you know is going to tell it how it is! :)

I still have several fics that never got much past the concept stage--just a couple of paragraphs. But since I've only been writing again since last summer, that's not so long unfinished as yours.
