Feb. 20th, 2007 09:23 amTuesday, and back in work. Turns out, we've got the cameras in again. There's something rather unnerving about arriving at the office to find that reception has been turned into a police station. And, of course, this also means that later in the day we will have all kinds of cameras and lights and TV people running around the place, which will make popping to the loo or filling the kettle rather awkward. Fun.
Was feeling a lot better until I arrived in the office to find that during my two working days off our little kitchen has been turned into something resembling a pig sty. Is it too much to ask that the other people who occasionally work here make at least some attempt at remembering what hygiene is? Or to ask them to do the washing up and put things away on the rare occasions I'm not here to do it? I was angry with Boss anyway, last week. She'd had two weeks off with a cold (when me? I took one full day and two halves with the last cold I had and only one day sick with this one) came back on the Monday and announced she was having the next three days off to go to Spain for Valentine's Day with her rich boyfriend. I was not amused, and promptly booked the Friday off, and was then ill anyway, which made it a waste of a day's leave. There are a lot of important things that have been left hanging because Boss hasn't been here. So, she is not my favourite person at the moment.

Date: 2007-02-20 06:49 pm (UTC)The building was once a law court and still has a fully fitted court room that we mostly use for meetings - that's the room they film in the most. But then we get days where reception is turned into a police station, as well. Those are the most disruptive days. Hasn't been too bad this time, though.
