January 9th. Today is the one-year anniversary of my burglary.

I don't think I have to worry about burglars as long as I have this big, black dog who is eager to guard. But of course that's no guarantee either...

Time flew, Janet! It has wings, it really has. Last year was weird, actually - it was so long and yet went so fast!

Thanks, JA. I never heard of anyone being caught - if they were, the police never told me about it. I doubt they'd ever catch anyone for a string of such petty burglaries - there were no fingerprints, for technical reasons the forensics man did explain to me, so unless they caught someone with my stuff, they'd never know. The insurance came through without any problems. But I still miss my earrings and camera - replacements just aren't the same thing!
