experiments
Dec. 14th, 2006 09:23 pmHmm.
Made a couple of walls I'm actually almost happy with. And a couple more I'm less happy with, but they do show improvement.
The first one is my favourite - I've actually got decent colouring and composition for once.
Relaxing Drive:

Second is a remake of one I attempted ages ago - the composition is still dodgy, but the colouring is better. Could be improved, though.
Facing the Unthinkable:

Third is another remake of one I attempted ages ago, and ditto the one above. Improved, but could still be better.
Life for a Life:

Fourth is an experiment. It's based on my stalled Virtual Series, inspired by Andrew's challenge on Buffyworld. I picked these two characters and this scene mostly because I haven't got decent quality pics to use of any of the other characters.
Secrets Shared:

Caps from Screencap Paradise and kind people on LJ
Resources from Misplaced Moments, Colorblinded (thanks Nikki and Romain!) and Image After.

Date: 2006-12-15 06:38 am (UTC)but I don't do challenges! I don't post art on the forum. It scares me too much!
*wibbles in the corner*
When does the challenge close, anyway?

Date: 2006-12-15 12:29 pm (UTC)'Life for a Life' is great as well, I particularly love the lighting in this and the composition works really fine, with visualising the transfer process via the reaper. Also your work with fonts did improve a great deal from your first wallapers *hugs*
I didn't read your VS so I can comment on the content, but in 'Secrets Shared' I totally love how you blended in the scenery behind the female. Again the colours and lighting are really great in this piece and the texturing is subtle but adds to the overall atmosphere. Totally worthy of entering in Andrew's challenge :)
You are really improving so much, given the little time you can spent on art, what with all the extensive writing and analysing you do! Really impressive :)
