This is such a random note, but do you know if sargraf's still around or not?

Wow, this was a long time ago!

I don't think she is, no. She really, really hated the episode Croatoan and stopped writing the manloves immediately thereafter. I think she only wrote the one for IMTOD out of the whole of season two. I don't know if she's active on LJ at all, but she certainly dropped out of SN fandom. Which is very sad :(

Really? Oh that's so sad. I kind of liked Croatoan. Do you remember what happened at all?

Do I remember why she hated it? Basically, she couldn't get on board with the demon virus thing - and I have to agree that the production was weak, there, and lets the episode down - and felt that the show had turned Dean into a murderer for no good reason, and she just hated it. You'd probably have to explore her journal for the full tirade, unless she's deleted it. All I know is that she dropped out of the fandom completely after that. It's a huge shame, because her writing was beautiful.

*sigh* So sad. It seems like that kind of happens with our show sometimes, things get brought up and then never touched on again. I think they might be trying to cram a little too much in sometimes.

I do miss the manlove entries. They were so cute.

The demon virus thing could still be brought up once more, if the YED's specific plans come into play at any point - Ruby told Sam that she's trying to find out what they were, after all. Or it could be a plot point dead and buried with the YED. Who knows? Maybe with the strike over we'll get to find out...

The virus thing would have worked better if they'd improved the production, I'm convinced. It wouldn't have taken much - when Dean was driving around town they could have intercut a few scenes of random violence all over the place. They could have showed us the boys and the others barricading themselves into the clinic, to emphasis the siege impression - hired a few more extras to hang around outside and have them actually look menacing!

Stuff like that.

It did seem rather easy to avoid a whole TOWNFULL of people. But I think they were trying to keep the emphasis on "Can Dean keep his promise?" and the overall episode may have suffered.

You know what I noticed? Not all of your entries show up on MY flist! There's a bunch I never even saw, spaced in between ones I remember seeing on the list. *ponders LJ*
