estoile used to complain to me, when studying for UE and working after school at the newspaper for which I worked in Wellington ~ big breath ~ that she was trying to cram too much knowledge into a very small space. "Mother," she'd cry piteously, "me BRAIN 'urts!!"
As you get older (::cheerily said::), lots of thoughts will simply fall out of your consciousness, slipping through a crack into the sub-basement. Frees up the space in the conscious mind wonderfully, though it can be a bit inconvenient when trying to assemble one's day so that it doesn't ALL flit away and leave no traces!
When a simple recap & review of something you saw on TV takes 25 pages in Word, that classes as too many thoughts! I write them all down, and it frees up a bit of space for something else...*G*
Limits on thoughts, or not enough room??
