I've got Small here for the weekend again. She's been pretty good so far, laid-back even, by her standards.

Having said that, we did walk all the way to Tesco and back last night with her stuck in her default feedback loop. Semantic-pragmatic disorder in action. The conversation ran thus:

"Am I being a good girl, Joey?"
"Yes, you're being very good."
"So you're happy with me?"
"Yes, I'm very happy with you."
"Happy like a bunny?"
"Happy like a bunny."
"And I'm not making you sad?"
"No, you're not making me sad. I'm very happy."
"So if Mummy asks, you'll tell her I've been good?"
"Yes, I can tell her you've been good so far."
"So far? What does that mean? I haven't been good?"
"Yes, you've been good. I'll tell Mummy you've been good."
"And you're happy like a bunny?"
"Yes, I'm happy like a bunny. Happy like all the animals in the zoo."
"And you aren't sad?"
"No, I'm not sad."
"So that means I'm being good?"
"Yes, you're being good."
"And you aren't cross with me?"
"Why would I be cross with you?"
"So you are cross with me?"
"Have you done anything to make me cross?"
"I don't know! Are you cross with me?"
"No, I'm not cross with you."
"And you're happy?"
"Yes, I'm happy."
"Happy like a bunny?"
"Yes, I'm happy like a bunny."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm sure."
"So you're not sad, then, are you?"
"No, I'm not sad."

And so on. Once she's stuck in the loop, it's practically impossible to break her back out of it. Sometimes you feel like screaming. Last night I was feeling chilled out so I just laughed all the way through. Then when we got home I turned the tables on her and started asking her all her own questions over and over, and she got the joke and rolled on the floor laughing.

We've been watching a lot of Doctor Who. This afternoon, unless the plan changes between now and then, my Dad is going to pick her up and take her for a bike ride, and swap her for my Mum. We don't get much mother-daughter quality time without Small around, so it'll be good to hang out together for a while.

PMSL!

We'll have to get her and my Rob in a room together - they'd go on like that for bloody hours!!!

LOL! Small is so cute!

I can't believe how patient you are. I'll probably be pulling out my hair as the first loop comes! Hahaha! :D

LOL She can be incredibly cute, but also incredibly frustrating, because she will go around and around the same loop over and over, and once she starts it's almost impossible to break - on Friday night, the one I described above, went on for about 40 minutes before she finally settled down.
