Thanks to everyone who replied to my last entry - sorry I didn't reply to everyone individually. All your kind thoughts are muchly appreciated.

Yesterday was a bit manic. My mum came into the office to do her stint of voluntary work sorting out the knitting, and she brought Small with her and made the mistake of letting her have a can of coke. Fatal. Small is already winding up in anticipation of the holiday next week, even without caffeine and sugar added. She was bouncing off the walls all day, so I spent more time wrangling her than I did working.

My Boss, on holiday this week, tends not to fill in her desk diary; that's too much like hard work. Instead, she has a whiteboard by her door with the words 'Where's Barbara?' emblazoned across the top. If I'm lucky, she'll put her movements for the week on there. If I'm very lucky, she'll stick to them...

Small decided to re-write the board while she was here. It now reads thus:

'The Boss Were's Babra? today
Tuesday
Wensday
Thusday
Friday
ye, hip hip hwre
bw I have to go to work'

With smilie faces and sad faces, thumbs up and thumbs down.

Four days in a week? Yep, that sounds like my Boss! I'm leaving it there for her to see next week, if she comes back in...
