llywelaI feel lousy this morning. Actually, I felt a bit lousy most of yesterday, too, but had too many exciting things planned to allow myself to indulge in it. But today is worse. I think I might be coming down with my mother's cold - the one that prostrated her most of last week. Such joy.
But on to the exciting things. A Man For All Seasons is a fantastic play, and Martin Shaw is lovely in it. Big recommendations for anyone who gets the chance to go.
I met Michelle before the play - she'd booked into the shiny new Park Plaza Hotel, which is just yards from the stage door - and she'd already seen Martin scurrying past on his way to the theatre. Lucky her. We had a meal, wandered around for a bit, and then went to see the play itself.
It is really well written: such a witty, amusing script. Martin was lovely in it.
I already said that, I know, but it bears repeating.
My headache, however, did not improve during the show, and I didn't feel up to hanging around waiting for the cast to emerge from the stage door, so left Michelle to it and headed home. Within minutes she texted to say that Martin had already left the theatre and scurried past her hotel again. He must've been in a hurry!
