minor moan
Oct. 12th, 2005 09:08 amIn work, we don't have a proper kitchen in our office suite - we have a small room that we use as a kitchen, kitted out with fridge, kettle, cupboard and a little hostess trolley. Every day, at the end of the day, I collect up all the dirty cups and dishes from around the office and take them to the nearest sink to wash them. I don't especially mind doing this, although it does bug a bit that nobody else bothers. I can't bear the thought of them mouldering over night, so I wash them. Then I return to our office, drape a tea towel over the hostess trolley, and put them out to drain.
Then in the morning, if I'm the first one in, I put everything away. I don't think it's hard to work out where everything goes - there is only one cupboard, after all.
But what really, really annoys me is that if anyone else comes in before me, they don't bother to put anything away. They'd rather get fresh cups out of the cupboard - ignoring the clean ones right there in front of them - and squeeze into the tiny space left next to them to make their tea, rather than spend those few seconds putting everything away to make more room!
I know it is only a minor whinge, but it happens almost every day and it really, really annoys me.
