I swear, when she finally deigns to show up in work again, I'm going to lock her in her private office until she actually does all the important work she's been allowing to slide for weeks now. I could do it, too - I've got the key.
I know that she has a broad and complex brief with lots of responsibility, but she's paid to do it. She's been dropping a lot of balls lately, and I'm tired of picking up the pieces and making excuses for her. I'm not paid enough for that. She is. I hate that she's making me feel so resentful and disheartened. I've always enjoyed my job, but now I just feel fed up with it all the time, like the house of cards is starting to collapse. It is worrying, and that makes me even crosser.
