Sep. 21st, 2005 08:57 pmAberystwyth was nice. A long day, but nice. I love the journey up there, especially once we get off the motorway and onto the minor roads. There is one spot in particular, as you take the coast road into Aberaeron just before you get to the town, where you can just see for miles out across the bay and up the coast to the Llyn Peninsula and Bardsey Island. It is stunning. I want to retire to Aberaeron one day, just for that view.
Boss was very happy to show off her not-quite-but-nearly engagement ring to anyone willing to admire it. It is beautiful - a mahoosive solitaire diamond set in a designer ring of pure Welsh gold. Must have cost thousands! I mean, there is only one place you can buy Welsh gold to begin with (which we drove past today, in fact - Tregaron in Ceredigion). Must be nice, to have a filthy rich boyfriend...
