Plotting and writing my Monico series is an interesting process, for many reasons.

I think the biggest problem I'm having at the moment is that of balance. Trying to strike a balance between the plot of each individual story, and the ongoing character development points I need to pick up on, especially where Oz is concerned. It is too easy to let his development drift as I attempt to round out the original characters, and that is something I need to be really careful about. It is slightly dangerous at the moment, especially, as the real Oz development won't kick in until Phase Two hits, and before that he needs to have been lulled into a nice sense of security in San Francisco (which means little in the way of real trauma or angst) so that having the rug pulled from under him in Phase Two is far more acute. But that could turn out quite boring - so I'm trying to strike a balance, and it isn't easy. Also, I keep distracting myself by working on the plotting and notes for Phase Two instead of the story I should be working on, next in the series.

But it is far more enjoyable than packing up the office ready for our Big Move next Tuesday.
