jubilee weekend

So, today we are celebrating Queen Elizabeth II's diamond jubilee - 60 years on the throne. The extra bank holiday and lovely long weekend is much appreciated, although last weekend would have worked out better than this one, weather-wise!

I've found some old family photos from 1952 - including a couple of the coronation street party my dad's family were part of! (Dad is the wee little dwt, the smallest of the little lads in the last two pics)



And my mum's family in 1952! (Mum is the babe in arms!)
