another update and picspam
Jan. 29th, 2012 08:02 amDeb came out of hospital last week, discharged because the ward was too noisy for her to cope with rather than because she was well enough. She's resting at home with medication to reduce the pressure in her head and is improving, but definitely still isn't right. Now waiting on an appointment with the neurologist to get test results which might, if we're lucky, tell us what caused it all. But which might equally prove as inconclusive as everything else so far.
I took a trip with the family up to the Brecon Beacons yesterday afternoon - very spur of the moment: it was sunny, for once, and none of us had anything else on, so we just decided to go. And we found snow! I mean, okay, we didn't get high enough to actually touch the snow, but still - look, snow-capped mountains! You'd almost think it was winter...

Instead of just retracing our steps as usual, Dad decided to drive home via the scenic route, taking the winding little country roads through the middle of the national park - the views were amazing. We had to make a rather sudden stop at one point, though, when this little wild mountain pony ran across the road right in front of us!

And then, as you can see, turned and glared at us as we passed for daring to drive along its road!
