Recap for this week's Supernatural hit 32 pages. There's a lot to talk about in this episode!
So here is is: 32 pages in which I rattle on about jus in bello and how the debate around wartime ethics plays out in this episode, the impact of the switched airing order, the fact that medicine really isn't a strong point of this show, Sam's despondency, Dean's competence, Ruby's murky agenda, virgin sacrifice as a mythological motif and its use here as a plot device for the narrowing of options, tattoos and biceps, Sam turning into his father, why it's a good thing that the brothers have lost the Colt, my desire for Ruby to kill Bela in order to retrieve the wretched thing, misdirection and manipulation, the sad loss of Sam's ability to think for himself, my sorrow over Henriksen's demise, and lots more beside.
