icon dump and wish fulfilment

llywelaOver the weekend I found the wishlist I drew up back in the summer for SN season three. I'm not sure I ever posted it on LJ - it was more a forum thing, I think. Could be wrong. It's funny to look at now, though, because it was mostly trivial little things I wanted to see...and it's amusing me immensely to see that a couple of the things I wanted to see have already happened.
I'd kinda like to see Dean disappear into thin air, I said. Because Sam's done it to him no less than four times now. We know exactly how Dean reacts when that happens. But we've never yet seen Sam going through the panic of his brother disappearing into thin air and having no clue what could have happened. We've seen him having to go rescue Dean from stuff, yeah, but he's always pretty much known from the start what had happened. So yeah. I'd like to see a bit of role reversal there.
Well, check that one off the list - Sin City. Nice one, show.
I want to see Sam driving the Impala again! It's been an entire season since we've seen him behind the wheel, I said.
Another one checked off the list - The Kids Are Alright. It was only one tiny bit of driving, though. It's still Dean doing the lion's share.
The only other thing I really wanted to see was some trivia on Sam. We know so many insignificant but fun details about Dean - the kind of music he likes, and his love affair with food. But mostly what we know about Sam is negative space - his reaction against Dean's interests, rather than what he really likes himself. So I'd like to learn a bit more about Sam in that sense.
Mostly still waiting on that one - Sam's focusing too intently on Dean and the demon war to start displaying trivial little quirks of the kind I was talking about. He is getting a lot of forward development, though, after being more or less frozen to the spot for most of last season. So it's all good stuff!
Posted a batch of Supernatural and Dark Angel icons to my website the other day. I'm not really that happy with them, but might as well share the links, in case anyone else likes them more than I do. There are a few that I really like - such as the one I'm using for this post - but mostly they're just a bit...blah.
