Feb. 9th, 2011 11:29 am1. Had a fab day in London on Saturday, meeting up first with a few random relatives for lunch and then with a group of very lovely non-LJ Pros people who are among my very oldest fandom friends. :)
2. Well, Baker Boys ended on a total no, you can't stop there! moment - thank goodness there's going to be another series!
3. The new season of Being Human (the real one, not the US remake) is completely awesome so far.
4. The new season of Primeval is over already! I'm so glad I decided to start watching again. I drifted out of the show after the first couple of seasons, but the writing in this new season is so much stronger than it was back then - I'm eager to find out what happens in the 5th and possibly final season, when it airs.
5. I can't quite believe that this weekend's Lark Rise to Candleford is going to be the last ever. :( It's a bubblegum show compared to other costume dramas and irritates me at times with how modern and plot-driven the writing can be, but I love it nonetheless and am going to miss it enormously.
6. Hustle ends its seasonal run next week, as well. It's another show that I've tended to drift in and out of over the years, but have been watching more consistently lately - the addition of Emma and Sean in place of Danny and Stacey a season or two ago has really reinvigorated the show and reawakened my interest in the team.
7. And Supernatural is finally back off winter hiatus! I'm really enjoying season six, on the whole, even though I'm not writing about the show any more. After being so bogged down by the apocalypse over the last couple of seasons, the show has moved in a new direction now, which has proved wonderfully intriguing to watch, and the first half of the season was impressively strong. Hopefully this standard can be maintained!
8. As if I didn't have enough live TV to be going on with at the moment, I've started watching a couple of older shows on rental from lovefilm - The Fixer and New Street Law each had a couple of seasons a few years back. I've seen a couple of episodes of each now, and really enjoyed them both, so look forward to working my way through the rest of each of their runs.
9. I've been strangely addicted to Coronation Street lately. I'm not sure where that came from - I mean, I've always drifted in and out of it, over the years, as it has always been my home-grown soap of choice. But lately it seems to have turned into must-see TV for me! We'll see how long that lasts...
