1. I was aware as I walked home from work tonight that my foot was hurting, but what I wasn't expecting was to take my boot off and find my sock soaked in blood! Evidently, a bit of nail on one toe has been digging a deep gouge into the toe alongside it. Ouch. This has happened before, but it has never been quite so bloody! Will have to take slightly stronger curative/precautionary measures in future.

2. Today's city centre street entertainment included a man balancing one-footed on a tightrope while playing a violin.
