It's been ages and ages since I did one of these, an episode recap for The Professionals. I started this one months ago, literally, and feel very guilty that it has taken so long to get back to finishing it. Never mind. Better late than never. This one is all kinds of fun.

I think my cat must be a Doctor Who fan, because she curled up on my lap for the whole of tonight's episode - and Poppy really doesn't do laps, not on the sofa, anyway; she quite likes to cwtch at the computer - and then jumped off again as soon as it ended. Strange girl.

Now, I don't do this meme often - in fact, I can't remember when I've done it before! But I've seen this doing the rounds a couple of times now, and it's kind of interesting to see what everyone's desktops look like.

The rules:
1. Go to your desktop and press the Print Scrn key (located to the right side of the F12 key).
2. Open a graphics program (like Picture Manager, Paint, or Photoshop) and do a Paste (CTRL + V).
3. Post the picture on your blog. You can also give a short explanation about the look of your desktop if you want. You can explain why you prefer such a look or why it is full of icons, things like that.
4. Tag five of your friends and ask them to let you see their desktops as well.

Well, the wallpaper I happen to have on rotation at the moment turns out to be an advert for [livejournal.com profile] galathea_snb's beautiful fanart! I use the webshots programme, and have built up an enormous catalogue of really beautiful images that rotate on my desktop, changing every half hour or so. Most of 'em are nature shots - flowers, scenery and animals - but I've also added a folder full of wallpapers made by very talented fanartists. I don't actually look at the desktop all that often, but whenever I do there's a different wallpaper on display, which is kinda of cool. What I like most about the programme is the screensaver, which uses the same images, changing every 5-10 seconds depending on what I've got it set to, so that I can just sit staring at this slideshow of gorgeous images. The webshots programme also provides that very useful calendar in the top righthand corner.

Here 'tis!

ETA: And then half an hour later, it looks like this:

And so on. I could do this for days and you still wouldn't see 'em all!

I'm not going to tag anyone. I'll just see who picks it up.
