HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MARKUS!!

Gah! Humbug and blast!

Was meant to be having a driving lesson today. Lyn phoned yesterday to rearrange, but was going to call today to confirm. He didn't - didn't phone to confirm, didn't turn up. I went into town and window-shopped instead.

Came back to the office, sat down, and was perplexed by the sound of dripping water. Went to investigate. Found a miniature waterfall gushing from the ceiling in our store room. Rushed to reception to ask someone to please go turn off the water in the DPIA kitchenette, which is directly above.

Vaguely proud of myself for having a clear enough image of the layout of this building to know that the DPIA kitchenette is directly above our store room.

Have also shoved a couple of bowls beneath the worst of the drips, but truth is, it's too late. Everything is already sodden. I'll wait for the dripping to actually stop, then I'll have to drag everything out and lay it all out around the office to dry out a bit. That'll be fun.

Bah!

Gah again!

Computer suddenly decided to throw a hissy fit and crashed completely, then refused to reboot properly. Has taken me ten minutes or more (wasn't timing, too busy threatening physical violence) to get it all working again.

Ever feel like the day is conspiring against you? I should've just stayed in bed this morning.

Apologies to those I was chatting to when everything went kaput.
