Driving and Doctor Who

So, for my driving lesson today I was...accompanied by a Dalek eye piece. It rolled around on the back seat, eyeing me. Mr Instructor is, it seems, helping repair one of the old ones and also helping build a new one. How exciting.

And so much for his 'I'm not doing the new series' spiel. He says this is a one-off, though. He doesn't want to be tied down to a regular commitment for this series as he is semi-retired and found the last one such a bind, but he's helping them out just on the Daleks.

The concept of vegan shoes vaguely disturbs me, not just because they're not actually made from real vegans (ba-dump-ching!), but because if they are in any way manufactured from any sort of plastic derivative/polymer (being synthetic leather, this is likely), then they are derived from oil, which is, guess what, probably derived from DEAD DINOSAURS. Won't someone please think of the dead dinosaurs?!
