Saw Moll tonight. Kerry went back in today for her full mastectomy, surgery to take place tomorrow and she's expected to be home on Thursday barring complications, because hospitals prefer it if people develop infections in the privacy of their own homes rather than on the ward these days. With two major surgeries so close together, and chemo to follow, she is going to be very poorly for a long time, methinks. They are all very stressed about it. The twins are starting high school tomorrow, the same day as the surgery. Talk about bad timing. Moll is in a bit of a state about it all.
The Calico cat has been back to the vet today, and he confirmed the heart murmur. It turns out that she had a chicken bone stuck in her throat when she was taken there last week - she'd been rifling through someone's rubbish. So what with that, and being kept in the shed by those strangers for a few days, she's had a stressful time which has exacerbated what was an underlying condition that had never made her ill before. So she's now on expensive tablets. :(
Tomorrow I'm meeting my friend Heather, my best friend from uni. We haven't managed to get together in far too long so have an enormous amount to catch up on. And after that, I'm planning to hibernate for the rest of the week.
