Barely slept at all last night. Just...couldn't drop off. For hours. Gave up and went into the other room to watch an episode of Supernatural in the end, with a hot milky drink in hand to see if that helped, and then finally nodded off about an hour before my alarm went off.
Weird dreams, too. Going to be brain dead in work today. Utterly brain dead.
I blame the many cups of tea Molly kept making me when I was there last night catching up on all the latest news. Kerry had her surgery - went in on the Monday, had the lumpectomy on the Tuesday, went home again on the Wednesday. Hospitals really are averse to keeping anyone in if they can possibly send them home again. If you pick up an infection at home, the hospital doesn't get pilloried for poor standards of hygiene, I suppose. Next week the results of the lymph gland biopsy comes back and Kerry finds out if she'll need a full mastectomy. Personally, I don't see why they couldn't have done that first to avoid a second surgery if she does need the full whammy, but what do I know? Not a doctor. Anyway, second surgery or not, she now has to wait till she's healed up properly before she can start treatment.
Worrying times for the family.
For me, I have a week and a half to go before I'm off on my holidays. Looking forward to it muchly.
