Emailed ITV the other day to say how much I've enjoyed watching Supernatural, how glad I am to hear that a second series has been commissioned, and that I hope they'll be showing the second series.
This is the reply I've received:
RE: Supernatural
Dear Joanna Browning
Thank you for your email regarding the above.
It is always nice to receive praise about one of our programmes and glad to hear you will be looking forward to Series 2. We do not have any transmission dates at this time when this new series will start.
Once again many thanks for taking the trouble to contact ITV and hope you continue to watch and enjoy many of our programmes.
Best wishes.

They've got to show season two, don't they?
I keep being very tempted by the part one DVD sets now on sale, but am determined to be strong and wait for the complete set. Reading the blurb on the back made me think, though. The blurb is all about Sam, because...well, because Supernatural is, ostensibly, all about Sam. Sam is the main character, top billed, and he's the one everything revolves around: Sam getting dragged back into a life he'd tried to escape, Sam losing his girlfriend, Sam developing weird psychic powers that he can't understand or control, and so on. So you'd maybe expect Sam to be a complex and compelling character. He isn't. Sam is adorable, but he's a fairly straight-forward kind of guy. What you see is pretty much what you get. It's big brother Dean who has all the layers and layers of complexity, and is overall the stronger character. So much to love. Can't wait for the complete box set.
