Kids!
My mum came into the office for a couple of hours today, to do some volunteering, and informed me that she's found headlice on Small. This right after our weekend together, living in close quarters, after she dozed off on my shoulder in the car coming home...
So, mum checked my head and, yep, there one was. Marvellous. Just what I needed.
So, I've had to invest in headlice-killing stuff and will have to treat myself.
In other news, Small had the new moulds for her hearing aids made yesterday. Mum said the technician was very young and inexperienced, and immensely unhelpful. And no sooner had they got home than the battery cover came off the only working hearing aid Small has. So it had to be sellotaped back on while waiting for the new ones to be sorted out - she's on a waiting list for digital ones now. She went into school with a hand clamped over her ear so no one would see. She's always hated wearing aids, and was so pleased when she no longer needed them.
She definitely does now, and has done for ages - her hearing is really bad. I just hope they get the new digital aids sorted out sooner rather than later.
