Congratulations, Hernán
May. 16th, 2005 08:38 pmMy boy Hernán Crespo got married to his Italian girlfriend, Alessia, today.
Congratulations, Hernán and Alessia - and, of course, baby Nicole.
These are the two sides of Milan the day after the Lecce draw. Hernan Crespo’s happiness and Massimo Ambrosini’s hope. The striker got married with Alessia Rossi and during the wedding party received a call from president Silvio Berlusconi, which made him even more proud to be part of this club. Ambro, on the other hand, was the only missing of the Rossoneri players at Hernan’s celebration. The blond midfielder was forced to rest due to the injury he picked up on Sunday at Lecce and is now an uncertainty for the Champions League final against Liverpool on May 25 in Istanbul. He will undergo scans and medical tests on Tuesday, and since the moment is a delicate one for the club, his situation will be evaluated just after knowing the outcome of these.
Two sides, but only one Milan. A club that conveys a familiar atmosphere at Crespo’s home near Como, a team who are still protagonist in the European stage although one of their key players may miss the big clash. Anyway, should even Massimo be ruled out of the final - and he won’t give up until the final confirmations- this won’t affect what good and decisive the midfielder has done on all fronts this season.
HERNAN AND ALESSIA, CONGRATULATIONS!

LIMIDO COMASCO (CO) - Hernan Crespo has got married with Alessia Rossi, the mother of the striker's daugther Nicole Alessia, this morning. There were almost 250 guests invited at the party that followed the civil ceremony. Adriano Galliani and Carlo Ancelotti joined the celebrations for the Argentinian star. They said: ’Crespo's future depends on Chelsea, we know that to remain at the San Siro would be a welcomed gift for him and we will try to satisfy him every way.'
CRESPO JOY ON WEDDING DAY

LIMIDO COMASCO (CO) - Hernan Crespo spoke with the Milan Channel on the day of his marriage with Alessia from his home in Limido Comasco, where the party that followed the civil ceremony was held. The Rossoneri striker expressed all his joy in this special day. He said: ’ I feel all the Milan fans very close to me in this very important day. I’m overjoyed. Also because there all my team-mates here with me. I’ve finally got married with the woman I love and I’m happy.'
It has been a feast day for the little Nicole Alessia as well, the newly weds’ daugther born last September. Crespo added: ’As far as she can understand what is going up, she seems to be happy. I’ve seen her smiling and I think she behaves like this because she sees her mamy and daddy happy.’
Turning to football talks, Hernan also commented on what Adriano Galliani and Carlo Ancelotti said they would give the Argentinian as wedding gift - the permanence to Milan: 'Yes, I confirm, it would be a wonderful gift.’ Then the 29-year-old looked ahead to the Istanbul final: ’Today I’m happy for other reasons and I’ll start focusing on it from tomorrow. However, I can just say that the game against Liverpool will be a special challenge, the Champions League final is a unique experience in the career of a player and in the life of a man. A thrilling goal as that I scored at Old Trafford? I hope so...’
Also, according to the Channel 4 Football Italia website, Hernán is the cover star of the latest issue of their magazine, with a whole feature devoted to him. I wan't wait till it actually hits the shops!
Other than that, I've had a thumping headache all evening, for which I'm squarely blaming the dreaded Office Move, which takes place tomorrow. I've packed as much as I possibly could, but I'm just so fed up of it - and especially fed up of having to do everything by myself.
And finally, Episode Eight of Tales from the Monico has now gone live over at my website, Publish and be Damned.
Congratulations, Hernán and Alessia - and, of course, baby Nicole.
