Today in work we had our annual Christmas carol concert, except that instead of gathering around the Christmas tree in reception with a spread laid on by the directors, we all gathered around our laptops on Zoom and had to provide our own mince pies. It was nice and festive and there was a Christmas quiz afterward with prize donated by the tea club (to which no one has paid subs since March) and it was just really lovely that we could all gather together like that still, and have a little time to chat and wish one another merry Christmas, after the year we’ve had.

One more day, and then two weeks off. In lockdown.
