I just had a letter put through my door from BBC Wales informing me that they will be filming just up the road on Wednesday 24 August (cooperation of residents is requested to keep the road clear on that day)

But dammit, they expect to be filming between 2-4pm and I’ll be at work so won’t get to see what they are doing?

What shows are filming in Cardiff at the moment? Doctor Who? Class? Casualty? Holby City? Pobol y Cwm? Could be any one of them!

Aw, how frustrating! Still, if it did turn out to be DW, you can at least jump up and down and wave a lot when you spot your house.

Can you set a neighbour to spy for you? And then you at least know whether you need to keep up with Pobol y Cwm!

LOL everyone on tumblr was all 'take the day off, chuck a sickie, watch the filming!'

It's probably just Casualty, though. Or maybe Pobol y Cwm - there's a former Pobol y Cwm actor lives three doors up from me. If it is DW, it's only a random street scene - they only expect to be filming for 2 hours, in short bursts (with a traffic management company on site to stop traffic from passing at the wrong moment!)

Well...we'll see! I may never know what it's all about - like how in a previous job, our office building was used regularly as a filming location for some Welsh language comedy set in a police station, and I never saw a single episode, couldn't even tell you the name of the show!

 Tumblrites, so irresponsible... ;-) It is tempting, I mean they are filming S10 just now, but it might be a bit disappointing to discover it was just two seconds of a guest artist on Casualty after all...

And, yay, Y Gwyll! I shall await its arrival on BBC4 in about 18 months time, then. If the BBC still has BBC4 by then. In the meantime, I shall fantasise about them discovering the existence of Penglais Hill. (It amazes and amuses me that they've totally managed to exclude any sign of it so far. It's like some weird gothic thing. There is no hill, no university, no hospital, nothing except by the sea, no road to Machynlleth, either, presumably. How do they get to Borth? Does the National Library of Wales exist in their AU?)

Speaking of Welsh language dramas, Y Gwyll has a new series airing on S4C in September, btw - have to keep eyes open for the English version on BBC, which will come later.
