Still in shock - how did this happen? We never even make the finals! I never dreamt we'd even make it out of the group stages! Semi-final here we come!

It was amazing. Wales and Iceland have been the best things about these Euro champs. And you can easily beat Portugal *g*

I don't expect to beat Portugal...but then, I didn't expect to beat Belgium. I didn't expect to get out of the group stages. Frankly, I was surprised we qualified for the finals in the first place!

Yay! Go, Wales!

(Right now I am looking at my Welsh family history for the first time in years - progress with the ME, yay! - and remembering how difficult it is when trying to find a John Thomas who isn't even sure about what his father was called, as he changes his mind about that between his first and second marriage. Or an Ann Thomas, who is entirely unrelated to John Thomas, because I have 60 millions different Thomas lines apparently.* But nevertheless, at the moment, I have a head full of Welsh names and am feeling more Welsh than usual even if I'm technically not actually.)

Sorry, rambling, but I know you 'get' the genealogy bug. :-)


* Slight exaggeration. Five or six unrelated lines, including at least two direct lines and will any of them think to use unusual names? No, they will not!

I do get the genealogy bug, indeed - and I know well the pain of trying to trace someone who has the same name as everyone else in their village, including most of their own family!

It's just a shame the other home nations didn't get through as well.
