Mar. 25th, 2016 07:33 pmI have been ill all week, which is most unlike me - usually, a really bad cold just means a day in bed and then I'm up and at 'em again, but this time I was just completely wiped out and it's dragged on for days and days. Perhaps I should blame the Llantwit Major hike, since I went down right after doing it!
But although I still can't actually speak and still have a very painful cough and still have ringing ears, tonight I managed an actual meal for the first time since Monday, and earlier today I left the house also for the first time since Monday, to enjoy a gentle Good Friday stroll through the Bay with the family in the March sunshine, which was very welcome.
We didn't go far: walked from the car park to the Doctor Who Experience, stopped for a cuppa and then back again. Which gave the Future Time Lord the opportunity to face down a few fearsome opponents for the very first time!

Pity about the light, but what can you do? Such a sunny day and the exhibits are right by the window! Layla-May was thrilled by them - her first sight of actual monsters, she was entranced, trying to figure out what they were. And then she laughed her head off, much to the delight of the staff - and tried to grab the Dalek's eye-stalk! See, she's on the job already...

Date: 2016-03-25 09:51 pm (UTC)I've spent the last three or four days lying on the sofa, which Poppy always thinks is wonderful. She thinks I'm being a cat when I lie down during the day, and I can't get her off me! She makes a lovely hot water bottle - but I do object to her lying on my face!

Date: 2016-03-25 09:54 pm (UTC)I object to a smelly bum in my face. I lay on my side in bed, Rosie Cat backs up to me ... and forms a T junction in the road ... and I get the full whiff of her bum. Thanks!
I am looking forward to it getting cooler, the quilt on and her using me as a mattress.
