There are, of course, some wonderful stories out there about NHS successes - my cousin Sarah's baby daughter Chloe, for instance, who has a serious heart condition and at 7 months has already undergone one major surgery and has more to look forward to. They've been marvellous with her. But for every good story, I can come up with several awful ones...
