Having a bit of a weird weekend. Yesterday was completely wiped out by an absolute doozy of a migraine, worst I've had in a very long time - hours and hours of vomiting and misery.

But on the bright side, I was comforted by news item #2 for today: I am dating. For the first time in years - very out of practice. But he's very sweet and kind and loves a lot of the same shows as me (surely half the battle won) and sat with me and was soothing while I was throwing up, which I can't imagine many guys would have done at such an early stage. Too soon to say if it's going anywhere, but I'm appreciating it while it lasts.

And then today my washing machine had a complete nervous breakdown and then combusted and died. My bank balance is still quietly weeping.

I wonder what tomorrow might bring...or maybe I'd better not ask!

*G* We've been bonding over Firefly and Star Wars (the real Star Wars, not the newfangled prequel nonsense) - and have had long conversations about the pros and cons of Pros remakes!

We kinda met through the church - but I think it's my DVD collection that might seal the deal. *G*

Migraine really does suck and this one really was a doozy, I've never been that sick for that long with one before - what a waste of a sunny Saturday! And then the washing machine went and put the tin hat on the weekend!

Thanks - migraine not fun, broken washing machine not fun. But the guy is nice, so I'm crossing my fingers and seeing how it goes!

You know, migraines are an annoying nuisance, but obviously they work well as a litmus test for maybe-boyfriends. :) I think it is definitely encouraging that he didn't run when the vomiting started. *g*

Sorry, about the washing machine though. Mine is old, too, and I live in the fear that I'll have to replace it soon, so I feel your pain.

I get the sick-migraine thing, although most of mine fortunately go off once I've been sick. My brother suffered for years like you though.

But yay! for the new guy - sounds good to me :)

Not only didn't run, but deliberately came to see me even after having been warned in advance about the vomiting. And stayed all evening in spite of it and was quiet, which does not come naturally to him - he's a bit of a motormouth.

The washing machine has done me good service for about 8/9 years now without a single glitch - typical that the very first time it ever develops a fault, it does so in style and dies completely! I've never seen a washing machine have a nervous breakdown before, but that was definitely what this was!

My migraines usually end once I've thrown up as well, so I was really annoyed that this one bucked the trend and just kept going for hours and hours - hopefully I won't get another one like that again any time soon!

I'm sorry about the headache. It sounds horrible!!! What a kind new fellow you have to come over and to keep you company while you were sick.he sounds promising. And bonus points for him liking the same shows.*happydance* Its so much fun to share discussions as you watch something. *hugs*

Booh at your washer. I hope it can be fixed rather than you needing a new one.

As a fellow-sufferer (albeit not as badly as I used to be) you have my utmost sympathy. Yay for the dating though - it's nice to hear some lovely news like that. :)

Ooh, boyfriend! What's more, boyfriend who deliberately arrives to look after enmigrained and upchucking girlfriend! Fingers etc crossed for that one, he sounds promising.

Bah, migraine and washing machine. Not much to say about either, so I'll just repeat: Bah.
