I think Dean's situation here falls under the heading of Shit Happens. A Lot. He wasn't incompetent, it was crappy luck. I get very tired of whinging because the boys get caught out, or make a mistake, or whatever. Hello, flawed human beings. Interesting characters. Deal with it. *g*

I'm consistently boggled by folk who can't assess the characters objectively.
