Oh, even by the end of season one things were changing and evening out - but you know how tiny moments will suddenly hit you with nostalgia? This was one of those for me, just a tiny, throwaway, 'look how far they've come, bless them' moment.
Jared has definitely matured more noticeably than Jensen during the course of the show - naturally enough, because he was that much younger when the show started.
