Wendigo was the one that made me fall in love, too, like I said above. I enjoyed the Pilot, but this was the one that really sold me.

I can see the difference you talk about between these early episodes and the later seasons - it's a difference in style and focus. I love the show throughout, but I do enjoy the feel of these early episodes when everything was new and they were still experimenting. They've settled into a lot of routine patterns now, that it wouldn't hurt them to break out of from time to time.
The last two eps of season three were awesome, though. Or should I not say that? I forget how far you've watched up to, but I don't think you're up to date.
