here via the newsletter, & I had to say thanks for this! I have been trying to get my thinky-thoughts in order regarding the wee!Winchesters for days, but all I could come up with was "OMG I LOOOVVVEEE THEM!!!"
But you had some excellent points, especially regarding Dean's inferiority complex. John made it pretty clear from the beginning that hunting was more important to him than his sons (IMO), and it was also made clear to Dean that Sammy's happiness and wellbeing were more important than his own. It just breaks my heart because NO CHILD should have to grow up like this. It does explain a LOT about Dean's character, though.
