Beautifully bittersweet, wasn't it? I love how many twists and turns the show manages to take that one central relationship - even just in the 8 episodes so far this season they've come so far. Sam really does seem to have given up, bless him, and he's really hurting. But it's a healthier hurt now, for both of them, because they're going through it together instead of separately.
